Hair loss is something that’s nearly always associated with men, but it occurs in women as well. Indeed, a surprisingly large number of women are affected by it: it’s a fact of life that affects almost 60 percent of all men and about 25 percent of women according to the American Hair Loss Association.
And of course hair loss can have a significant impact on a woman’s self confidence and emotional state, in particular.
After all, bald heads in men are considered sexy by many women and for some reason, male hair loss seems to be much more accepted by society. But sadly, the same can’t be said for hair loss in women.
And not only is hair loss not as accepted in women as men, it’s almost completely ignored by the medical profession.
With this much of the female population affected, you’d have thought that more attention would directed towards hair loss in women, but that just doesn’t seem to be the case.
