It’s a consequence of the hectic pace of modern life that it’s all too easy to find ourselves eating way too much junk food.
Not only does this make it more likely that us women are fighting a losing battle against the bulge but it’s also not very healthy for us and likely leaves us even more tired and lacking energy than we otherwise would be.
Of course most of us are very aware of the consequences of too much junk food but despite our best efforts we often end up eating the stuff anyway, whether it’s because of time constraints or maybe because we’re depressed or stressed out after a bad day at work.
And when we suddenly find ourselves looking at an empty bag of chips or wondering where that big bar of chocolate went, we inevitably feel guilty and like ourselves a little less.
Personally I’ve never had the willpower to stop myself from eating whatever is in my house so I’ve found the best way to stop eating junk food is not to buy it in the first place. If there’s no junk food in the house, I can’t eat it when I start to feel hungry.
And it’s a lot easier to avoid the junk food aisles in the store when you’re only there for a short time while shopping than it is to avoid eating junk food when the you get the urge at home and you have a cupboard full of the stuff sat there waiting.
So, if like me, you’ve been trying to quit eating junk and trying to adopt a healthier lifestyle then have a re-think about your approach. Instead of trying to fight the urge at home, stop buying junk food to make sure you have none in the house, then you’ll hopefully be able to give it up once and for all.
